Not the best start to the season injurywise, 7 first teamers on the sidelines. Would have hoped we'd get Carlos and Faraimo back for Cas, but with them adding "jaw" to Faraimo's injury sounds like more than just concussion.

Realistically I'd except only Houghton, Taylor, Wats and maybeConnor to be out for the Cas game, adding in Carlos, Faraimo Green and Mini ab to the above side

I don't like that they've added "jaw" to Faraimo's injury though, sounds like more than concussion. Hopefully Carlos not too far off, but no idea what's going on with Green and we were, rightly, pretty conservative with Mini last year.

I enjoyed James Rule's shows "Hear the facts not the rumours", although went off him a bit when he responded to my suggestions that the coach was important and we should get rid of Agar with an alternative opinion. I still don't know what would have happened had Kath not taken over the club when we were hours from bankruptcy, but at the time, and with no alternative ownership options forthcoming, her money helped keep us in existence, surely? These injuries are precisely why we have a squad with the depth we've got. Admittedly, there are quite a lot of injuries all coming at once, but we can't control that so all we've left to focus on is what we can control, and use the squad we've got.
The young players that make up the majority of our squad depth will now have the perfect chance to stake their claim and prove what they can do. It could be the making of them.
