if we are to keep developing/giving game time to Fash, Matongo etc as well as keeping Green/Thompson et al in the mix regularly then using Watts as a more ball handling 13 than we've had of late to replace ellis is a good move.
But some are suggesting Ellis wants to go again next year, i think that is courting trouble, however that's for the club to decide. If watts does go to 13 in a westerman type role then what would Ellis be, an out an out prop/impact forward off the bench?
I honestly don't think Jordan Abdull is coming back next year in any case.
Hadley i'd like to see back and as a successor to Washbrook at some point but rumours are he's off to KR next season.
As proven at Cas, wingers are not usually the problem if you can get the ball out to them in scoring opportunities, they can grab plenty of tries, we seem to use brute strength rather than finesse in that dept. it works at times and good for getting out the 10/20m but it also shows our weaknesses too in moving the ball wide.
