Wyke is actually a district of Bradford so I suspect that's the one they mean, rather than the Hull one.

Yep, Wyke are a decent Pennine League club, a little village between Bradford & Halifax. Always hated playing there, boggy & horrible pitch with not a lot of space, not great for us fleet-footed backs.
