Parkatmyhouse.com People rent out their driveways for the day. Cost me £10 and i,m a 5 minute walk away from the stadium and know my car is safe We did it last time
speed is a drug ? i'm hooked on speed ? ride a motorbike, it's cheaper
Similar to above, worth getting an oyster if you're travelling via tube if you don't have contqctless as, buying singles is massively expensive. Currently £3.10 for a zone 1-6 (High Barnet is in Z5) compared to a ticket from the machine at £5.90, that's NOT a return that's a single. So for 4 adults that's £47.60!
Under11s are free on the tube at all times so ling as accompanied you just take them through a manned barrier. 11-15 year old are normally free if they use an 11-15 oyster ID card but is a hassle to get just for one day, 75p per trip in zones 1-6 otherwise.
Pensioners free travel passes can be used on the red buses but not the tube.
You can park near places like Watford/Shenfield but by the time you get there you won't really save any time compared to parking at places like Stanmore.
Try Wasp parking. We booked last year for £25. Literally a 5 minute walk from the stadium and the best thing was the exit was a shortcut off the main drag and we were on the M1 in 10 mins. Will go there again. You print off receipt and it is security manned.
Ps we did stay til the end so the time out of carpark is when everybody is leaving.

If just doing a day trip you're better off parking at a Tube or Rail station on the outskirts and getting a 1-day travelcard. Stations around the bottom of the M40 (for example) charge £4.50 to park all day and the travelcards are typically not that expensive. Much better to driving through London and finding an expensive car park.
Look at any stations between High Wycombe and Wembley - they ll have ample parking these days due to the commuter madness that is London...
Also if your coming down the M1 think about stopping off at Bletchley (Milton Keynes....) £5 to park all day £21 for an off peek travel card and direct trains to Wembley Central..
