So your saying Michaels is better, because he's faster?

I don't dislike Michaels, but comparing him as a centre to Yeaman, Yeaman comes out better. Which doesn't say a lot for Michaels.

Yeaman is a better Centre, Micheals a better winger.

Overall this season both have been pretty average in whatever position they have played.

But in the context of the thread, were talking about the retention of Yeaman and the alternatives at centre if we didn't retain him.

I'm trying to say that I'd take Yeaman at centre for 2016 ahead of Michaels (who I think isn't as good at centre), or Sa (who's injury record is awful).

Couple of decent games, a couple of stinkers, the rest average. I know you don't like Yeaman, but let's be fair about it.

He's nowhere near as bad as you & others make out. We're recruiting a top centre already & we have a decent young centre who's not quite ready, so we need another centre in the squad for 2016.

Our options are:
Keep Yeamo
Keep Sa
Keep Michaels as a centre.
Recruit another centre.


For the reasons I've stated in a previous post, I wouldn't retain either Michaels or Sa as centres over Yeaman.

Recruit another centre - is that realistic? Easier said than done. Is there another decent centre on the market other than the one we're already after? We won't pay a fee for one.

This is one of those signings that will be better judged in the context of our overall recruitment.
Of course that a little too measured for some folk.

Yeaman is a solid professional. As a starting centre we could do worse. We could also do a hell of a lot better.
However wanting better and finding/affording better are two very different things.
If Yeaman is just plugging a gap for a year while we source a replacement then so be it.

yeaman has been poor this season with only a small number of decent performances sprinkled in amongst plenty of bad and average ones. How poor will he be in another year and a half?

I'm sure the top4 are bricking it at this blockbuster signing can't pass, can't run very fast, but hey-ho he's the coaches mate so new contract it is.

I'm sure you used to come across fairly reasonable. Nowadays, you come across like a complete one-eye.
