How come soccer clubs can pull in big gates on a Saturday then? The Tigers can pull in 20,000 without having problems with fans being at work.

Maybe we have supporters who watch us for that reason As They don't work a Friday night or a Sunday

But why can soccer clubs play Saturdays and pull in big gates but for Hull FC to do so would cause problems?

Whatever date was announced for this - Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday some people would moan. As has been pointed out the Saturday is ideal to fit between the Sunday game at Warrington and Saints at home the following Friday.

Presumably you'd not be able to go to the Final as it's on a Saturday?

As for saturday fixtures, if the club think they would work why havnt they moved to them? A lot of rugby fans tend to work around friday/sunday games, if it wasnt for a colleague being on holiday on the 16th i wouldnt have made the game, thankfully i will be needed to work an early.

Saturday works for me so I'll be able to come up for this one, should be a really tight game (one would hope)

I think Sunday games are still appealing to quite a few fans but BITD league games were always played on a Saturday (hence the broken time payments and Sunday for Church), whatever day it is with our 24 hour a day, 7 day a week society there are aways going to be people put out or just not able to attend by games being played on different days of the week.

For me Friday games are all but impossible but I managed to get to the Thursday Leeds match, ATEOTD if you want to go, go, if you don't want to or can't then it shouldn't be fair game for those attending to call out those not attending for whatever their individual circumstances are or in the worst situation to be labelled not 'a true fan'

Pleased with this. Optimum spacing between fixtures and better for Cas fans than Friday night.
