This is exactly the attitude that has killed Hull in recent times, both FC and as a City.
Why is there a lack of ambition in some quarters to be the best. Hull (FC and the City) has everything in it's favour, just small town small time thinking lets us down.

sorry, but how was he at "the peak" of his career, he did nothing at Saints, so we let him go at "the sunset" of his career, surely?
He was in great form when he left and was one of the most destructive runners in Super League, so much so that the club reportedly made him a fantastic contract offer to try to keep him. That's also why Saints wanted him and they don't sign players at the "sunset" of their career.
He has not replicated that form at Saints although I believe that in the first season they were not making the best use of him.
I believe that had he stayed at Hull his form would have been better than it has been for Saints.
However he is now at the "sunset" of his career which is why we should not re-sign him.
