Tbh I hope Tommy Lee does try something fancy, because he will be the only one in the squad who has the balls to try something different.

Pretty much my thoughts. He's been miles better this year than previous ones, but he's always going to look fairly average at this level.

This season he hasn't been a stand out bad player at all, and i do think it is harsh to single him out. We too joke about any mistake being Tommy's fault, but he tackles well and i think he is playing better in a role were he does not have as much responsibility to make the wrong decisions (kicking on the 2nd/3rd tackles like he has done more then once)

Why is it there always has to be a scapegoat in the team?Tommy hasn`t maybe set the league alight,but a few others havn`t either.

Beat me to it. Calderwood and Lee, our better 2 players of late are getting mullered for us being poor tactically and all over the park!!

one that plays 20 mins and the other that plays 10-15 mins,

why do some people spend money to watch games,and then sit there with their eyes shut. they must do. tommy agravated the out of me last year,and i was going the way of a lot of fans in getting fed up with him. but this year he has been great. running strong,tackling has been tremendous,putting big shots in and being aggressive. set up a try last week,got a great kick in under pressure,and is an underated passer. i am not a tommy lover yet but i am not blinded by a crazy need to blame everything that goes wrong or find fault in everything a 21 year old kid does.

i have been one of tommy's critics over the last couple of seasons, but i think agar has found his position as a loose forward and not a half back, he has looked good this season in defence and is obviously doing his job to keep others out of the team.

Personally I would drop Houghton and use Lee to cover the back row and Hooker if Berro needs a 10 minute breather. That then gives us 2 bench spots for props and a spare slot.

Has shown aggression and effort this year. One of the better players on Sat, too much herd mentality by so called supporters.

Lee has been doing a hell of a lot better this season, he isn't to blame for our failings, it's a team game, the responsibility starts with the coach an ends at the 18th man as far as I am concerned.

Correct, expectations of TL 3 years ago were way over the top and he's not fulfilled them, is that down to the clubs coaching methods or the player himself?

He's "suffered" because we have been spoilt with hookers for as long as I can remember, have we ever had a poor first choice hooker?

Who did we have before Dean Treister? Was it Lee jackson?

Easily forgettable is his problem!! The quins were begging for the chip over for 60 mins of the match but no one in B&W had the guts or guille to try it , if TL is to excell he needs to try some of that cheeky flair he had before it was coached out of him!!

Do you think the players are scared to 'chance their arm' so to speak, Hall for instance did, got taken in to touch on first tackle, agree though the little chip over was there for all to see, Thorman probably had more chance to do it in first half too

I reckon Hall will have got a right bollocking for that as well, but like i said on the night, if it was dry, it was try time! We should be encouraging people to take more risks and play off the cuff imo
