I remember the day it was announced we had signed him, I couldn't believe our club had been able to bring in a player of his calibre, at the peak of his powers and still tearing it up in the NRL. A true turning point in the position our club was heading.
My favourite ever Hull player, and will most likely remain that way for a very long time.

As has been said Ellis is one of those once in a generation players that comes along and thankfully we managed to not only see him pull on the Black & White but also Captain 'The Immortals' in 2016 and repeat the cup success in 2017.
Very few players command the respect in the game like Ellis has and does both here and in Australia, the word legend is overused in modern sport but few can deny the term 'Legend' fits Ellis.
Wish him well in his future and glad he chose to come to Hull, does sound as though he may be leaving the sport altogether which would be a loss to the game.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
