Only round 1, but feels a massive game, really important we get a win.

Going to be tough after a disappointing pre season.

Cator, Taylor, Evans, Mau and Connor definitely out, I go with

Shaul
Swift
Griffin
Carlos
Mcintosh
Reynolds
Gale
Sao
Houghton
Fash
Savelio
Griffin
Lane

Brown
Satae
Lovedua
Severs

To be honest that's not a bad side all things considered and at least gives us a chance.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Thanks, kept changing my mind about Griffin, it should Scott at centre.

What about Bowden?

Not too sure why there's so much pessimism on the Hull side - I have a couple of Hull friends who have practically given up the ghost before a ball is kicked. That side looks OK on paper and you get everyone back bar Taylor within 3-4 weeks unless I'm mistaken.

The main thing Hull needed to work on in pre-season IMO is their resilience and mental toughness - there's no lack of RL talent there but the squad owe the fans and shareholders far more consistency and commitment than they've shown in recent years.

Hopefully having Gale on the pitch should bring that consistency, we haven’t had an on field general since Gareth Ellis retired.

I wouldn't mind seeing Connor Wynne in the 17 (if fit) Thought he looked really good at centre last season.

Bowden like a few others have been poor for the last couple of years.. Agree with everything else you wrote. Not writing the season off, but too to be too excited at the moment.
