In all the euphoria surrounding the #backtoback Wembley victories, I think the magnitude of Sneyd's achievement winning successive Lance Todd trophies really deserves calling out. After decades of makeshift halves and employing the likes of Long and Pryce when past their best, it's fair to say I'd despaired of ever seeing an effective game manager in our side. Few could have imagined 3 years ago that we'd recruit an organiser who'd steer us to these achievements. A Hull FC scrum half winning back to back Lance Todd trophies. On the winning side. At Wembley. Still sinking in.

A thread on here not too many weeks ago arguing if we should have sneyd or connor as 7...its not aged well

I was one who was calling Sneyd out. I have to say that at Wembley he steered us to the win fantastically. However, I thought he was even better against Leeds. His running game, his.kick variety and at times his defence was fantastic. Well done Marc

He has always worked hard in defence,seems to go unnoticed.
Last few games he has added a little more running to his game.
If he could increase his running game he is well worth an England chance

Back to back Lance Todd Trophy wins is a remarkable achievement. It may not be done again, who knows.

I'm really pleased for Marc. He's taken criticism - some on which borders on the hysterical - on the chin and just got on with his game. What impresses me especially is his coolness, he doesn't seem to be affected by nerves. His goal kicking record is superb, not far off 90%.

There's a few quality in play kickers in the league such as Brough and Matty Smith. But Sneyd is on a different level to anyone else in the league. He's got to be up there with the likes of Cronk in the NRL. As for goal kicks, is there currently anyone better?

Not sure - he won Top Gun last year but imagine Luke Gale is ahead this season? Not sure what their relative success rates are.

Surely that's only on number of converted kicks? Any idea what kicking percentage is for the whole league? Sure I read that Sneyd and Connor both had the two best percentages in the league.

I just assumed that given the general hyperbole around Gale this year he'd be ahead on that measure too, not sure. Didn't realise that Gale is 3 years older than Sneyd. I'd be looking to get him signed on a Leeds-style 5 year deal personally. OOC end 2019.

Lucky for us he's also very happy and settled at the club.
