Isn't the purpose of a forum to encourage debate and discuss opinion? Why has polls been banned when the facility is there to set one up? I had. Set a poll to see opinion on where people thought we would finish in superleague 2016 I know some trolls may vote but who cares you get one vote and I am sure more genuine voters would outnumber a couple of trolls ,but who cares some people and take this forum and themselves far to seriously ,
Isn't this what this forum set up for to discuss opinion ? I hope this doesn't get locked too

It is a forum to encourage debate and discuss opinion, but not one to have to read the crap you and the other trolls post on here . All you ever do is run the (owner, coach, players, shirt designers and everybody else connected to the club down), and it is soooooooooo boring . Have a nice night.

Your right, the purpose is to encourage debate and discuss opinion but the use of polls will always be misleading because of trolling and just plain sillyness. There is an existing Westerman topic and you could quite easily have started a "where will we finish topic". Remember Bumpy's "Radford out poll/topic" debacle. I'm an ardent fan, neither a "happy clapper" or "sweet thrower", the only people I throw sweets at are my grandsons. By all means have a different viewpoint but don't disparage others who don't agree with you. "RESPECT"

The squad looks stronger than our more recent squads so I think we can (and should) improve on this season's placings but I can't see us breaking into the top four (would be a pleasant surprise though!). I'll predict sixth.

5th/6th I think would be a realistic expectation next season, but a truer measure for me would be where we are in relation to the top4.
What I mean by that is, we could come 5th but be 8 points from 4th place, or we could come 6th but be 1/2 points from 4th.
We have to be competing for the top4 right up until round 30, and if that means something like that second scenario above where we end in 6th, but we were still in with a shout of top4 going into the last game of the season (so no dead rubbers), I'd see that as an acceptable improvement vs this year (I appreciate some wouldn't).
I'm not saying I'd be 'happy' about finishing outside the top4 before some of the usual suspects chip in, just that I'd be satisfied at the improvement.

At the end of the Super 8's we was 14 points off Top 4 so I think it will prove too much for the team to compete all the way up to round 30 next year. Our Super 8's campaign was an uphill battle from the off this season so if we can narrow that points gap down and ease the pressure on ourselves a bit then I'll be happy*.
*This may not be true so don't quote me on it next year if I end up ranting

Appreciate your point and would agree with you but on the experience of this season I don't think the Super 8 system lends itself to close finishes as you describe. I think whoever finishes 5th and 6th will have been eleiminated from contention at least a week before the end of the season.
