Morning guys . Guess its early days just yet , but plans need to be made so what are your thoughts on travel to the Catalan game in February ?. Little tricky with winter flights and such , Any coach organisers feeling brave enough to take the task on ? .

Can't believe after breaking the record for away fans last year the league gives us a February fixture. Looks like they have thought about what team will take the most numbers that time of year
and come to the conclusion the f.c faithful won't mind getting the sh@## end of the stick. Same applies to magic weekend. I understand the reason but seems like the more you give to the r.l the more they take advantage of it instead of trying to get other clubs away support up to our level

This is just paranoia.

Why should league fixtures be based on prospective attendance of away fans? We've been pretty lucky with Catalans fixtures over the years and we cannot expect to play there in June/July every year.

This is when we've played there since they joined SL. I don't think we have any right to complain

2015 June
2014 June
2013 June (plus a Cup game in July!)
2012 Feb - postponed to July
2011 April
2010 May
2009 Aug
2008 March
2007 July
2006 April and July

I agree - we've managed 2 Bastille Day weekends in the last few years as well!

Maybe so but the fact that 2 of the worst followed teams in Salford and Huddersfield have got April and May fixtures really peeves me off. Surely would make more sense to swap one of them. I'm not saying we have a god given right but when we take as many away fans all over the country lining other clubs pockets yet getting little back it would at least seem our support was'nt being taken for granted as I think the magic weekend shows it is. If you was to ask catalan which club they would rather visit April/May it would be a no brainer imho

i think you are being a bit selfish imo

just because we took the most last season doesnt give us the right to have the best month for fans to go, after all it could have been the club that wanted an early fixture

why should 100/200 salford/hudds fans miss out on a decent holiday fixture just because we take more?

as others have posted, we have had our fair share of favourable weather months, give others the chance to have theirs too

Not a bad idea at all, I'll see if I like the new Catalan shirt first , not sure when rovers are playing them

Been the last six seasons but made the decision not to go regardless of when the game is in 2016 as i plan on going to the west coast of America in 2017

Like you say, can always watch it on sky

Went in February when the game got called off a few years ago, so learnt my lesson then, so definatly wouldnt have gone even if i wasnt going to america the following year
