We have waited the best part of a decade for a good half-back partnership and now half of that partnership is gone for a month, perhaps 5 weeks.
So, why on earth are we not using one of our promising young players to form a NEW partnership during that time? We have nothing to lose and it could keep Sneyd out of the side when he's ready.
Putting Tyson-Wilson with Pryce for a month will help them to gel. The mooted "half-back school" is a wasted exercise if we're putting a fullback in the scrum-half position. A fullback who also has one eye on going home!
Reece Dean is looking good enough to come into the side too.
There were plenty of calls for Jack Logan to be given a chance, he was put in the team & now after 2 games there are calls for him to be dropped.
The same would likely happen if we were to play a youngster alongside Pryce. The best bet for me would probably be Abdul, though the way he looked when he came on against Leeds would he last the full 80 minutes?
Sneyds absence was a massive blow however I believe our attacking problems are with Radford and his inability to be innative. You can tell he was a forward and has a lack of knowledge of attacking structures and plays compared to other SL coaches in my opinion. It's a coincidence that our plays are the same as Doncaster and both teams are struggling??? For me he isn't the type of person to take our club forward. He is trying to install his ethos of discipline, aggression, passion and enthusiasm which in my opinion is difficult to coach as a lot of them traits are innate. He got rid of decent SL players that didn't like his rules and way of coaching such as Arundle and Crooks and to be honest they are the kind of players that can be dangerous.
As for putting Rankin to HB instead of promoting natural halfbacks from the u19's is shocking and shows that he is afraid of failure in my opinion. Rather take the easy option and put in steady players. Would Leeds and Wigan promoted a young halfback? I think so. My opinions of course
