I had an idea during the first year at the KC......It was true, the 'Boulevard atmosphere' had been lost/split-up.....The Threepenny choir seemed to find it hard to vent its collective Adams Apples!
I suggested that the centre of the East Stand should be marketed as 'noise seats'......basically, anyone possessing seats near the centre line should be expected to be amongst the original chanters from the Threepenny stand, and thus not bleedin' moan about 'some guy' maybe shouting a 'naughty word ' or two
.(this is rugby.....not a flower arranging class!)
I remember being totally entertained during my 'Threepenny career' during the 80's. I was never offended and neither were anyone else.....The chants were near the knuckle but funny! During the 90's i moved to the SE Corner (Gordon st end) and that is my usual position in the KC. But the Threepenny choir sounded brilliant even then. I wasn't amongst it anymore but all the singers together in one spot was like having an expensive PA system and more than often......They got the rest of the Boulevard singing.
Last night was OK......But could've been a lot better. Now Hull City have learnt another song other than 'Boooooooooooooooooooo' they seem to be outsinging even the mighty FC
This needs sorting
