Just like a certain someone on here

Not guilty as not on Facebook. Maybe it's just someone who knows what they're talking about. Could be Steve mac incognito

I, as I’m sure many do, share your concerns about our recruitment. Particularly the Hardaker and Abdull signings.
Hopefully the reality will be something between the conflicting views because if it turns out as you fear then I may become as negative as you appear to be.

End of the day…nobody knows what we will be like next season but we have got seasoned pros who know how to win, have won things and are coming from previous clubs with different methods to us and winning mentality and a new coach who sounds as though he is no nonsense sort of coach.if it comes off and we improve then good and we will be justified in the signings.

Also, anyone thought we maybe “steadying the ship” for next season and improving our appeal for the season after and an improvement on recruitment, even though a certain poster will point out about 2yr deals .people wanted change, investment, signings and it’s happening but if we aren’t signing state of origin players then Mylers useless.

We are steadying the ship this season with the loan players and Cartwright with possibly another coming in coming in,but how many seasons are we going to run with the excuse of steadying the ship.
You have to make the breakthrough from average to good at some time and you can only do that by signing three or four quality players.
The Asiata signing should have been used to promote the clubs intentions to other quality players but for some reason they went backwards and signed Hardaker,Holmes and Chamberlain and if it seems they are coming on 2 year deals it makes it all the more concerning and hardly makes your point improves our appeal for the season after valid.

In your opinion the signings are backward…I’m prepared to see what they are like for us next season, hardly anyone does 1yr deals.

If anything sums up the small mindedness of rugby league, it's this article. Catalan have been the biggest success story of super league in recent times... Crazy some chairmen criticise the benefit of them, if you removed them from SL, Magic & cc final attendances would not increase. I can't see the attraction of going to elland road for a regular super league fixture, it's a dated ground in a rough part of Leeds with nothing round it...that's the reason I don't want to go,not because I went to Catalan away in February. The sport needs to do better in terms of marketing and venue choice to get fans back to magic and CC finals as neutrals...removing one of the best things in the sport is not the way to go.

I suspect Leigh took good numbers to Perpignan as it's still novelty to make the trip.

I've done it three times and don't get the fuss. Last time I was there we actually ended up in Lloret De Mar, which is by far a much worse place, but a lot more fun.

I remember the first trip to Perpignan was an eye-opener.

Steve Ganson was wrecked drinking red-wine (refereeing the next day) and i ended up behind Craig Hall and Gareth Raynor at a kebab stand at 1am. Think Raynor scored in a tied game, too.
