However, it became apparent to the Giants pretty quickly that the hooker did not have interest in pursuing a move to Huddersfield or indeed Super League, which saw them step away from negotiations at an early stage.
This was elaborated on further by head coach Ian Watson, who confirmed talks with Cook had taken place.

So that will open 2 quota spots then, I imagine they will be filled with a fullback and hopefully a centre but I’ve got a sneaky feeling they will look for another forward

If another forward…maybe a 2nd rower but we could have 4 with Cartwright,Holmes,Lane and staveley.Another centre would make sense with Hardacker and Chamberlain with only Dawson as back up and Litten.

I suppose full back depends on Walker, centre is the main one, but yeah could do with another forward too, was hoping Whitehead might happen, but gone too quiet.
