France Pull Out Of Hosting The 2025 World Cup If you were busy making plans to take in the rugby league World Cup jamboree across the channel in 2025, you´d better put away those guidebooks and log-off the hotel booking sites, as it has officially been announced that France will no longer be the hosts, plunging the next tournament into a pit of doubt.
In a press release issued today by France2025, it was announced that with regret, the organising committee have been unable to secure the backing necessary to guarantee the tournament and that they have therefore had to withdraw from the offer to host the tournament.
Planning for the 2025 Tournament s now in disarray.

Doubt they even know there's a RL world cup doesn't really register a their radar unless looking for coaching strategy or innovation.

Its the fault of the French government asking those cities/towns hosting the games to cough up $200.000 euros before a ball is kicked . It would have given the game over in France a much needed boost but sadly not to be . NZ now looking at maybe throwing their hat in the ring for 2025 hosts .
