It is about Lee Radford leaving the club I think he was unfortunate with injuries but that's part of being a head coach. I also think the way he was dismissed appalling but the owner can do as he likes we have no say in the matter. But when it comes down to the fans Lee Radford should be able to say goodbye and the fans who believe what he did for the club was amazing.could show their appreciation for the man I think this should be done the first home game if this season ever continues.
Interesting article in the HDM by Carney who had a conversation with Lee Radford about the players mentality and application not being upto scratch. Basically saying even players were fit , they wernt performing upto scratch.
Kinda begs the questions which players do we still have which match the description

they all start with a clean slate, Lee had become part of the problem, hopefully Purtill is part of the solution.

Agree but it seems that Last is the one who now has the coach title not Purtill I dont get this handing down the job to the assistant coach as he must have had an imput into everything Radford did and therefore in my eyes just as culpable as Radford I realise the club are looking for a new head coach but Last has been part of the failure and should also have been shown the door. The problem for me is when a new coach is appointed Last is likely to keep his job as Pearson is hardly likely to say to him thanks for standing in Andy but your services are no longer required.

I agree, Last has been at the club for 20 years, assistant coach for 13 or so of those, anyone who spends that long as an assistant lacks one of two things, ability or ambition (imho). Now I am sure there will be a lot of posters who start calling me names and saying what a great lad Andy is, or 'Lasty' as some will refer to him, if he gets a chance to shine (which seems increasingly unlikely with every passing day) but if he does, and he does shine (by virtue of the team performances) then he will get my support, but when I read "He has been responsible for the production of a long line of homegrown players such as Josh Bowden, Chris Green, Dean Hadley, Reece Lyne, Tom Briscoe and Tommy Lee." I am not filled with confidence, I hope he does prove me wrong if he gets chance.

I know he's done some assistant coaching at representative level but I wonder if he's ever been offered (or applied for) a head coach role at a Championship or League One club. Kind of worrying if he's just happy to stay in the same background role for year after year.

Who knows what is being (has been) said behind the scenes, and how Coronavirus and the subsequent suspension of the season has changed decisions that had been made.
There would be no point paying another coach (especially on big money) to be coaching a side that cannot play and only have limited training options at home , Last has limited contact, along with only lots of words with little meaning from Elstone and Rimmer.
