Whatever you invest financially into training and development facilities, the money will pay itself off many times over through the years. I'd much rather we spend money on facilities and coaching to develop the youngsters we have, than recruit externally because our youngsters aren't good enough. Ten years down the line we could be looking at a fantastic side full of Hull born and bred players, even more so than we have now.
The reality is that it has to be a balance. The infrastructure now looks like it's taking shape to support the transition of young players to first team level.
