Actually, I thought your pack came out on top - just.
However, the difference was the halves. Gale and Roberts made the correct decision almost every time. Despite good go forward from your forwards, Sneyd and Pryce didn't create anything on the back of it.
I thought Minichello was your best player.

Agreed. Apart from Shaul was our best player IMO. Cas are a great team to watch and fully deserved the win. In other news apparently no new injuries which is good.

No great drama. Cas are a very good side and Powell had certainly done his homework.
I look forward to the response next week.

I thought cas nullified our threats pretty well and we gave them a leg up time after time with poor decisions and execution. We were pretty poor in a lot of aspects tonight however we were held up over the line 3 or 4 times and michaels really should have taken that opportunity so we were in with a shout despite being well off our best. If we turn it around and win next week we can chalk this one off to experience but if we don;t play well next week then the doubts will start to come in

Echo that entirely. As others have said, I look forward to the response.

Negatives:

Kick offs - I don't mind them going to the same place each time, as long as they have length and height but tonight they had neither. Catching on the 10 and were getting to the 20m easily every time.

Last tackle options - watts and manu (1st half and 2nd half) ending up with the ball. Sneyds kicking was poor, he doesn't put his foot through it. It just lobs in the air and dont pressure the back 3 of cas.

Discipline - I know we were getting frustrated with the ref but we need to cut the penalties out. Their go forward wasn't that great but we were piggy backing them up the field

Line speed - there wasn't any. Cas were never gonna go down the middle against us, but we helped them with this by dropping off. Getting off the line quickly would stop the angled runs they were making and force them to play to our strengths.

Pryce - that kick!! Also, the drive he took in and he tried to get help up but got carried out over the in goal to give them a tap 20. They scored off the back of that.

Positives - Shaul, resilience to come back from 18-6 to leading the game, Manu (apart from the first 10 mins) and the fact we didn't play that well yet were in contention until the last play.

Cad played well and deserved the win. Solomona gave a lesson in finishing

As you point out, to poor in to many areas, cant understand why houghton doesnt kick more, always seems to put a decent one in wgen he does

The best 'Team' won on the night
We may have had the better players, but they were the better team.

We still look a bit void of ideas near the oppositions line.

Gutsy performance, indiscpline and mistakes especially in the first half cost us .
We missed too many one on one tackles. Cas seemed a bit quicker which wrong footed our bigger men on too many occasions.
Our right edge defence worries me , we seem very vunerable down that side .
Great character though and hopefully we will learn from tonight .
