Well I thought all that aside it was a brilliant final, a real tussle and a great effort from both teams. For me it was a fitting finale to the end of the competition and the culmination of a month of games that has been for those not emotionally involved with it all, nothing short of gripping.

I'm married to a Leeds fan and have many good friends who are Rhinos. I don't have the hatred for Leeds that many FC fans have, not just because of my connections but because I admire the set up there. Leeds are one of the only teams not to have broken the salary cap and they don't throw unlimited money at players. They have a very strict salary structure and players only move up that structure when it is felt they are ready and have proved their worth. I admire that and I still say that one of the most worrying signings for 2016 is Peacock to KR as the wealth of information he will take there is frightening.

Anyway, I digress. Every team has their idiots. I'm appalled at some of the behaviour from our fans, however Leeds fans were the only fans that questioned me being at OT on Saturday despite the fact I go every year and was actually cheering for you. Kinda summed it up for me as you rarely see Leeds fans as neutrals, just going to enjoy the occasion. Shame really as it's a fantastic day
