I want to see a coach and team that are loved by the fans such as the successful one under Phil Sigsworth. Hardly a team of world-class players, but they played hard and were well drilled. Radfords style of rugby is plodding, pedestrian and without flair. Just what you'd expect from a prop. Thats why we need someone who can unlock defences without sending 4 big forwards in a battering ram formation (He learned that from Noble at Bradford, but teams soon learned to beat that tactic and Noble was found out).

If fan see garbage and poor play, they will simply stay home and save the money. That is a massive drain and will affect investment in all areas of the club.

Leeds & Huddersfield are coached by ex props who learnt their apprenticeship ,from an experienced Head Coach.

Leeds also have Barry Eaton as assistant. A very very good half back.

Huddersfield have Purtill. Another very good half back.

We need someone to unlock defences. Radford has consistently shown his inability to coach that skill.

Cas have 2. Sheridan who was a vastly underrated halfback, good organiser and good kicking game..coupled with Danny Orr.

Giants also have Thorman,Saints have Long,Wire have Briers,Wigan have Deacon..

If Barry Eaton was a very, very good halfback and never managed to make it in the top flight, what is 12 time Great Britain international Richard Horne? The likes of Eaton and Sheridan both played at a time when RL was played very differently. Before everything was based around false runners, wrestling etc. Other than Powell, only 2 other teams was coached by halfbacks this season - Wakefield and Salford!!!

The only advantage an ex halfback could maybe offer coaching wise is showing some basics like how to kick or pass, and if you're a half back and don't know how to kick or pass at 21, you're never going to learn!

Stop constantly looking to fabricate reasons to take a pop at the club, and try to be excited about what looks like the strongest pack and the biggest three quarters in the comp next season!

Horne was a fullback. He played his best rugby there. McRae stopped that and put him in the centres then at halfback. He was a finisher, NOT a creator.

No-one's taking a pop at the club, just the coaching methods and the way flair is being coached out of the team. - wind your neck in.

He never played much more than a couple of dozen games at full back out of almost 400 appearances.

In 2000 he played all but two at half back, the other two being centre. 2001 he played a majority at centre but often at half back. He played a few games in 2002/2003 at full back but never more than about four games at a time. From then on he was pretty much a half back.
