Am i the only one who thinks that the clubs current demise correlates with how poorly run the club is atm?

Weve got the smallest and most inexperienced back room staff weve had in years yet still have one of SLs best followings, merchandise sales and incomes.

The quality of the playing staff has been going down year on year for a while now.

The coach is way out of his depth for a club our size

We seem to jump from one disaster to another with regards to our training facilities

Were an enemy in our own home thanks to our owners relationship with Allam

As a club it seems to be as far away from the fans as ever with no real relationship between the two other than us being cash cows

Cross over the city and look at how KR are run - They operate on a smaller budget yet really go for it personnel wise (Poaching as assistant and now Peacock coming in) - They are also a massive part of the east side of the city with fans being really passionate and feeling though they're part of something. The club is also run by local people who support the club and actively promote involvement from the local business community with their directors and back room etc. Widnes seem to be doing the same too

These are major issues for me as Pearson hasn't got a clue and has no one around him with passion helping out and until fundamentals like this are sorted i don't think we'll ever be successful again. Has Pearson got it in him to sort it - my head says no as hes not managed it yet which makes me believe that only if the club was sold and made part of the community again would we acheive anything - This is where were majorly in trouble as they're simply isn't anyone out there to buy us which will only mean a further demise for the club. If the SMC issues arn't sorted quickly we'll be playing in the KC next with only two stands, even less decent players as they'll jump ship and then who knows, another bradford in the making maybe

All good points.

I agree the back room staff is too small, and the staff we do have such as Radford, Last and Horne have been at Hull for years, there are no new ideas coming in to the club. The club has releatedly appointed assistants and hoped it would work (Kear, Agar, Sharp, Gentle, Radford) instead of going for someone with proven sucess as a head coach.

On the playing front I do think the club tries to buy better but just makes a complete hash of it every year (a symptom of changing coaches and not having an experienced head coach) players like Ellis, Fitzgibbon, O'Meley etc all were top quality signings, it's the tat we fill the rest of the squad up with that's the issue. There is no long term plan of building a team around certain key players we just go mad and buy up anyone we can get our hands on.

Take 2012 for example we cobbled together a team of castoffs (Tony Martin, McGoldrick, Aspinwall) but they played well, finished 6th played well in the playoffs and overall it felt like we were heading somewhere. Some of those players just mentioned were getting old so needed replacing, but we lost control of our senses and went mad on the likes of Arundel, Galea, McDonnell at huge expense, only to pay many of them off! Then it just becomes a revolving door of average/mediocre players coming in and out.

Contrast that to say Leeds who many years ago decided the core of their team would be the likes of Sinfield, McGuire, Peacock & Burrow, supported by mainstays like Ablett & Luluaia. Young players and new signings have come in around that team, but the core has remained the same. We need to decide who is good enough for the medium-long term and build a team around them.

Our player scouting also seems none existent, we only ever seem to sign known names and put far too much emphasis on past glories (Sa being in the Dream Team for example, yes he was...but that was years ago and his body is now knackered!) what happened to spotting unknown talent like Sam Moa, and giving them time to develop. It took him a good couple of seasons to get up to speed, but it was worth it in the end!
