Well, I put my neck on the line and said that I dont rate michaels., But as for McDonnell, id have been quite happy to have him at fullback this season, ...but, the man sounds like he was on a ridiculous sum of money for a player who didnt complete a full season in the uk due to injury, when he played, he looked good, but I feel, injuries restricted him to be a player who was seen as repacable by the powers that be due to the imergence of shaul, whod have been nowhere near the first team had shannon stayed fit I might add..... shannon arrived in the uk to Kr on a recommendation from newcastle knights who he'd barely played for, for one reason or another. .. fc signed him, on recommendations from wests tigers head of development, Aka senior mcdonell, his dad...gentle and mcraes close freind, we stumped up big bucks to sign a relative unknown. And its backfired spectacularly again, as many other imports and uk based sigings have.... shannons fault was not his own doing, bad management again caused fc to pay another player off who was deemed not good enough or too expensive etc, all surplus to requirements. .. I see haworth being another who'll fly the nest early also... pointless signing IMO...especially when weve got 2 hookers already on the books...
