Its good news from us at wigan because we should have a full back thats not scared of catching a high bomb and got conferdance to go forward with the ball.
I was amazed when the RFL had Mathers up for tripping.
Halley made a break down the touch line and kicked past Mathers towards the try line. Mathers came across towards him and put his shoulder into Halley. He went down like a sack of spuds and didn't get up! We all heard the smack of the impact.
The physio came to him and was certainly needed.
It was straight obstruction for me and Mathers saved a certain try by doing it. Hence the sin bin.
Where they got the trip from must be the video which I haven't seen.

Try here, http://www.superleague.co.uk/page.php?id=597Shows the trip quite clearly, suprised it was only yellow, the ref was in a good position and the touch judge was 2 yards away.

THE INDEPENDANT: Today the east, which contains the biggest council estate in Europe, is poor, a place of high unemployment and low expectation. The west, which has the city centre and the university, is posh and prosperous.
But didn't the scorelind flatter Wigan the score could of been almost 30 - 6.
Also I hope the refs change the outfit when rovers are in there away strip!
It was bizarre re the score. Wigan could have and should have added to their score, Wakey could have added more to their score. It was one of those games that with a video referee the score may have been different still favouring Wakey. I thought they had 1 maybe 2 genuine tries chalked off. It would have been a disgrace but we could have even snatched an undeserved victory.
