Realise we have to get promoted and it’s a while off etc , but given the signings we appear to have made and rumoured - who do we think will have the 1-13 - there seem to be a lot of candidates now for most positions :

Jowitt / rourke
Walmsley Johnston

Hall v Scott and Pratt - personally think Pratt and Scott

Halves think can only be Russel and Truman

Props or middies we seem to have a shed load of candidates

Think mckmeeken and atoni would be 8 and ten but then you have a rack of “middles “ uele , vagana bain rodwell shaw ?

Starting hooker Doyle v parcell

Back row think nicotimo storton and either Bain or rodwell at 13

We may offer contracts to Pitt’s olpherts griffin but still think starters will be as above

Parcell isn't signed yet.

And if Pitts goes again he'd be my starting 13.

If we are chasing that second row forward as rumoured then I don’t think Parcell can be signed as we only have one spot.

I wonder who we will bring in at 9 next season with only Doyle and Smith signed.

Here is the announced players to my knowledge:

I think we have 22 confirmed.

1. Jowitt
2. Johnstone
3. Pratt
4. Hall
5. Walmsley
6. Trueman
7. Russell
8. Atoni
9. Doyle
10. Rodwell
11. Mckmeeken
12. Storton
13. Bain

14. Smith
15. Uele
16. Vagana
17. Scott

18. Cozza
19. Kay
20. Lawford
21. Lingard
22. Lino

There’s only Booth and Shaw I’m unsure on but suspect they’re out of contract as it stands.

We need around 8 more players I’d suggest. Maybe even 10.

This is resigning and a few more additions.

Rourke seems the most likely to be signed up out of all the rumours and it certainly seems we are chasing another second row which may see Mckmeeken move into the middle as a starter with Rodwell and Uele off the bench.

I’d like to see retained:

Pitts
Booth
Hood (if there’s no other 9 option of any good quality)

That would leave a handful more needed I guess.

There's Rourke and Matty Russell to add to that, probably Nikotemo as well. I'm sure Hood and Griffin have signed too.

From the rest I'd like to keep Booth, possibly Pitts and Shaw as back up.

pretty much how I see it although the parcell rumour does seem to have legs just like the other uk signings. So presumably our non fed trained would be atoni uele rodwell lino Bain walmsley plus this new second row.. even if we sign rourke , plus 4 of current squad we still seem short of at least 2 if not 3 players. Be very interesting to see who next couple announcements are

Not presently but they may be added if confirmed. The list is confirmed 22 squad. Rourke and Russell are unconfirmed so are not as it stands part of the 2025 squad and may yet be announced. Still that would only make 24. Would certainly need another 4-6 players.

Booth and Pitts I’m definitely agreed with.

I wouldn’t keep Shaw. One good game where he run hard in 1 and 1/3 season isn’t enough for me.

Griffin maybe but I’m not convinced he has the legs to step back up unless it’s impact 20/30 minutes from the bench out wide only.

Yes I agree we still look a touch short especially if spending cap.

I’d look for another prop/middle and probably another edge forward.

I did like the look of Bienek from London as an impact prop when I saw him a couple of games ago.
