Yep, remember him from back in the day, IIRC he had a strange running style - bandy-legged I think - but was still a great player.

Very sad news 74 is no age at all. A truly underrated player in the team of 79. Graham Idle did all Bill Ashurst's tackling to allow him to do what he was good at. |

My Dad was the club Dr in the late 70`s and early 80`s, he was always staggered by how tough RL players were, but was simply amazed by the staggering toughness of Graham Idle. What a player Graham was, durable, athletic, tough, determined and boy what a tackling machine he was. |
