Saw him rip us apart on many occasions, as did many other teams, and was always amazed by his speed, ability to turn on a sixpence and his toughness. One of those players it's impossible to dislike no matter how much grief he inflicted on your team.

To retire and then be struck down by this disease was beyond awful, and my heart goes out to his wife, his children, the rest of his family and all those who knew him.

RIP.

Really sad news. A true sportsman played the game the right way. I disliked so many players at Leeds but never Rob Burrow. He never tried to con the referee to gain an advantage , was a tough and a lightening quick.
My thoughts are with Lindsey and the kids .
