Am guessing that the players rested against dewsbury will be available for selection next week and a lot of the team selection is pretty much nailed on, I think but could be wrong that griffin is available, suspect none of the guys given a chance yesterday will force there way in. For me the interesting one is Doyle v Kay

Personally think we ll line up something like this :

Jowitt
Jerry m
Pratt
Thornley
Walmsley
Lino
Gale
Bowden
Hood
Atoni
Ashurst
Griffin
Pitt’s

Bain
Uele
Kay
Rodwell

Doyle and olpherts - both of whom I wouldn’t be dissapointed if selected

It sounds as though Griffin is 50/50 so if he doesn't make it then I would move Pitts into the second row with Kay at 13 and Doyle on the bench.

Feels like it’ll be between Doyle, Kay and Bain for two of those three bench spots. Kay offers more cover if someone goes down injured. Doyle obviously a more natural replacement for Hood (and Hood could potentially fill in at half if Gale tweaks his groin). And Bain could be really effective coming on in the middle, but hasn’t really been part of ‘the journey’.

Suspect it’ll be Bain who misses out. Doyle to come on with Rodwell and Uele 25 mins in. Kay to come on in the middle for a bit if all goes to plan. Or if Griffin’s still out, Bain will get a bench spot too with Rodwell starting in the second row.

Pretty much how I see it.

Me too, Doyle Deff to spell Hood, Uele and Rodwell for impact and Kaye for vesitilaby.
Not nice, but in some respects good you have to leave someone like Bain out.

Exactly but only because of the number of games. That said, if Griffin isn’t fit then Bain would come straight in.

In truth I’d be happy for either or any of the team to get a go. Not one player who’s pulled on the shirt this year has put in anything other than a shift.

Tough choices - Glad it's DP having to sort it out and not me!

It's a case of deja vu. Back in 1979 our then no. 11, Bill Ashurst, was 50/50 whether he played or not. They played him but his injury showed with a very below par performance.

Sheffield lose to Batley today. Have they rested a few?
