Leaving Wire at the end of the season and looking for a new SL club...could be the ideal replacement for Gayle ???

Not for me, he hasn't been anything more than average at Wire and suffered injuries. A quota spot as others have mentioned as well, I'd like to think we can do better next season if we're in SL. Depends if ME wants to use a marquee space on a half as well, which would change things considerably.

Also, we're going to have some hard calls to make at the end of the year as far as quota players. I think most are on longer than 1-year contracts so we're not gonna have much room if any to bring overseas in. I can see us trying to bring in the best British/French players we can. probably why we made an early swoop for McMeeken and Johnstone.

No. Absolutely not what’s needed. Only looked half decent at Catalans but been anonymous ever since. Not what we need at all.

A couple of years ago, maybe, but not now.

That said, we do need an organiser for next year, as I dont think Gale will be here.

I know we've been linked to Russell, but not sure hes that type of half.

Drink water has ability but, as all the clubs he has played for he has lapses & fade outs during games particularly against top sides, all the clubs he has played at have found him out !
What grin need next season if in SL is a dynamic play maker & game manager on field of play, we do not want a project player or an old player as in the past. !
Where we could get one is the problem, every club wants one. ???

After a full season full time and perhaps working with Gale hopefully Lawford will be more ready to step into the position.

Plenty of time to see how things turn out.
