Having read & learnt what has occurred to Matt on buying & owning the stadium along with the club he Must be a little let down & miffed at the operational inadequacies of the new build. In short he may also be embarrassed when he bought in good faith ! In contractual terms he has experienced " Latent Defects" a term used in construction contracts. Contracts never cover all things, they do include all itemized things at prices quoted, or a fixed capital sum or cost plus, the latter being day work & materials at cost which runs until monies run out ! So Poor Matt probably has to pick up the costs etc, he may be able to get some monies back but time & proof may well be in contract arbitration ! So, for me I would hope & like to see all supporters show some form of public appreciation to him after one year on for ALL that he has done & had to put up with, that would go a long way to make him feel truly appreciated. How that could be done I am not sure. Many Thanks Matt if you ever read this !

Some of these things just happen in a new build.
He gets loads of appreciation. I've never heard a bad word saidvto be honest. I'm not sure he needs a cheer squad.
I agree, Ellis has nothing but positive comments about him and I am 100% sure that he will want supporting in the form of club engagement.
That will be attending as many home games as possible, buying merch/beer/food and engaging with social media.
He’s doing a good job but as said he doesn’t need a cheer squad he just needs fans to engage with the club he’s invested in as much as possible (which appears to be happening).
Ultimately, if the team keep winning I can only see the fan base steadily growing this season.

I tried to point this out a few weeks back but as always someone says “no it didn’t” or “I don’t believe that” etc Some of the work done inside the East Stand is well below what is acceptable and should never have been signed off or agreed to.
However Matt Ellis has the whole of the supporter community behind him and as others have said earlier, he’s got people excited about Wakefield Trinity’s future

Matt Ellis has been great for the club but I do feel as a fan I have become less attached to Trinity. We've been paupers for so long and simultaneous strugglers that it was something special to religiously follow Trinity home and away and pump in every spare penny I could muster to help the club. Now I'm just part of a bunch of bandwagon jumpers following a club awash with money, expected to win week in week out worrying about which part of the ground should be upgraded next. It's April and I've still got £50 of club shop vouchers from Christmas to spend ! My only shop purchase this year has been Matty Ashurst gear. It's no longer crucial to input my meagre contributions.
I've really forgot what it was like during Hadfield's days for comparison. I think I might need therapy.

You only have to read the forums on here to see the positivity around the club and appreciation the fans have for him.
Also the ticket sales are helping to improve that, and hopefully if we are to get back in super league next year, can only see the 5500 number for this year, being beaten

That is the big question though.
Are the 5,000 still buying next season and the season after when the prices are higher and we won't be winning every game?? Time will tell.
