Well this weekends match looks another loss possibly a good hiding !
Its our own making is the position we are in, however, we are as good as relegated now, if cas win against Warrington then its over with 4 points down & a big points difference !
Our current two owners Will Not Let GO, this is their actions, they appear to be unwilling to let go, What the Hell do they want ? No one can ever guarantee what the next owner will ever do or turn into !
So, there comes a time to let go for the good of All, but as we suspect they want something more either financial or still have attachment for their future income ?
The club is not as declared in the black, we are not in debt on liquid assets but are in a large debt of fixed asset, ie, a mortgage repayment of 3 million which is due to bite + interest etc
We have a nice man in the coach but is not capable but is cheaper than a top coach which we never get or are likely to get, bottom line issue, + I suspect the current owner never wanted a person that would have different views due to professional expertise realising what's needed to win in a results industry when an owner cannot or will not take them to the next level !!!
So with reluctance I am not renewing my season tickets for inept quality & especially in keeping this coach who is tactically & decisions inept, not his fault when the current owners continue in this idiotic stance & will not let go !

A post full of what if’s and speculation. Then a decision to not support the club by buying season ticket/s based on the same speculation and what ifs. Maybe it’s worth displaying some patience and deciding after the season closes.

This also could have been posted on the number of other threads discussing the same topics.

A very poor assessment of what’s going on with no evidence I suggest to back any of it up.
I will renew my season ticket regardless of division we’re in, because I’m a Trinity supporter, and IMO if relegation happens who and who does not renew their ST will sort out the true Trinity supporters.

Pretty much how i see it. I will be there with my new seating season ticket.

This will be regardless of what league.

If we end up in the championship then the club have the opportunity to draw a big line through the squad and club and effectively start anew. With likely the biggest budget I would expect we would win a high percentage of games and I’m not adverse to seeing trinity win and visiting some new teams/competing in a couple of finals. It could very well bring an injection of positivity being a big fish for a year.

If we end up in SL I will sign up for the ride again and I hope 2024 serves as a bit of a kick up the behind for Trinity.

Regardless the club will be in a stronger position off field in terms of non match day income.

Bottom line is I will support them through thick and thin.

I will be going, regardless of which division we find ourselves in. I was there on the terraces in the 1984-5 season, can things get mich worse from that season.

Firstly, hopefully the T word should have been completed, so hopefully, the rebuild and rejuvination of the club should have started.

A few things that need to happen.

A gradual clearout of the squad, between now and the end of 2024. Not many are contracted beyond then, so it would be good to have a clean slate for the 2025 season

There are off field issues which need addressing too which cost money, such as debts, improving the squad may well be a steady process.

A new head coach
Better marketing and PR of the club
Be more professional
Better engagement with the fans. I think this has been lost recently

Agree with all,
I remember that awful period in the 80’s also, but later we played some great RL - I’m afraid many people think RL stops in SL!
Yes a good clear out needed and a complete overhaul !

So, how do you feel if & if We still have Apple arch as main coach + Carter & Miners still there as well as the new owner - he still has a business to run, running Wakey is a full time job + watching the club & finances ?
I will not follow more ineptness , but I will follow genuine " having a go with a good regeam " !

Given the right players and investment Applegartb could turn out to be a good coach. Though he’s still in his head coaching infancy this season will have provided him with some invaluable lessons. He seems like he would learn from them.

It’s a decision of the club owner and if the club owner believes Applegarth has something to add to trinity in the near future then I will watch it in unfold. Fact is that many a new coach would have struggled with what they’ve had at their disposal this season.

Personally there are options such as bringing in an experienced coach and having Applegarth and Long understudy to them or an experienced director of rugby. It’s hard to comment as I don’t think we will have a clear picture of any changes till after season completes.

If the takeover happens and some current staff stays then you have to trust the new owner to make those decisions.

If the current owners remain then I trust them to work within their means but also continue to both make the new facilities a success (and profitable to offset repayments) and also search for further investment.

The current owners or new owner won’t want a repeat of this season that’s for sure.

As for now, we have the players we have. We have the coach we have and we are still in with a reasonable chance to survive so I just want to hope and support that they can pull together and keep the club up. We are only 1 win behind and it all looks like it could go down to the last game.
