I think it’s a good idea. Fines will still discourage foul play but are a more individual punishment and have less of an impact to the squad. This helps with the amount of injuries in todays game and time out for concussion protocols. Smart move

Disciplinary charges are a joke, You can put a player out of the game for 3 months and get one match .If a player does a tackle that put some one out of the game for 8 week ,the player should be band for same time .It was done in Australia and worked .The coaches would soon get the message.

I stopped reading as soon I saw Hetherington and Mike Rush were involved in the review group. Also is there a difference between a Director of Legal and Head of Legal?

Changes include automatic reduction in any bans for Saints, Leeds and Wigan players. Disciplinary panel members to be sacked for having the temerity to give a ban in the first place.
