Maybe a bit too early but he clearly gets results at the academy level and it appears reserves level this year (sure he was managing reserves) who just got to grand final.

I wouldn’t be adverse to having some young hungry coach.
Would need a strong assistant appointment though.

Seems to have the makings of a good coach but no experience to go with it at the highest level . Suppose the same could be said about Peet and Wayne.

Very risky strategy if we go down this route.

If he was behind the turnaround, give him a go, but with some experienced support to deal with the stronger personalities in the first team. Parachuting in someone from outside can end just as badly. I'd prefer someone who has coached at a lower level than an assistant who fancies a go at the top job.

I think the club clearly appreciate and understand what Mash brings to the table hence why he seems bullet proof when it comes to departures (and rightly so).

I can’t see us going with a novice though in that position. I be think Mash is a future head coach of this club but I think they will bring in 1 more appointment first before he gets his chance.

I really can’t see them getting rid of Willie to bring in another novice in the job.

Absolutely not in my opinion.
That would be like taking a talented 18 year old and making him captain and play maker.

He needs more time to build his experience.

Mark is doing a great job where he is. However far too early to even consider such a move. Give him a pay rise as recognition of his good hard work, but to recruit him to head coach NO WAY !

Applegarth could well be a future coach at Wakey but not just at the moment.
