According to this week's League Express, we are targeting a half back. Wonder who, unless this is linked to the Danny Brough story that was going round last week

Apparently Huddersfield are also in the market for a h/b, and have just pulled out if signing Jackson Hastings. Not sure whether Sandow would be the right fit for US, but in Drinkwater, there is a goal kicking organising half back. Could be a better fit for us. Is a shame though, in reading another thread, that, in the same position, we look to be losing one of our own, in Ackroyd

If true, this surprises me, he did not look out of place in the pre season games and looked to have some organizational skills about him.
Are we able to outbid Catalan for Drinkwater, I very much doubt it.
As for losing Arona, l am a big fan, we are a much better side with him on the field, but he lost a few brownie points last friday with that stupid penalty he gave away second half.

There are rumours that Matt Smith has signed for Catalans for next season

Am I right in thinking this wouldn't be the first time that we've looked at signing Drinkwater? To my knowledge we were linked with him just before we signed Harry Siejka.
Eastmoor born and bred, hardest lad around.
