Cas are six points ahead of us in the table yet there points difference is only five points better than our!

Tight margins indeed and just shows how close we’ve been this seaon - let’s hope that should we get top eight we get a smidge of luck and turn the narrow defeats into narrow wins.

Dare to win!

Cas have scored 415 and conceded 364 = 51

Wakey have scored 413 and conceded 367 = 46

Difference is 5 = Vastman is right and Lurcher (newgroundbeforewakey) is wrong.

Fools eh?

Points difference can make a lot of difference on where you could finish in the table that's why i was a bit disappointed with us letting in some very soft tries in yesterday and we could have had a couple more tries as well but in saying that it was a very hot day in which it must have took hell of a lot out of them.

Another stat for you, there are 5 games left before the split, Widnes are now too far adrift to catch us before the split. Eliminate 3 more teams and we are safely in the Super 8s :-)

I’m right but even if I were a few points out the point is still valid.

The difference between you and us has now narrowed down to your ability to win tight games. It’s a great ability and as such I wouldn’t deny it makes you the better team.

However it also shows how far we’ve come since 2015 - certainly in the normal competition.

It will be interesting to see who can raise there game more on the 8s, I suspect it will be you. That said I don’t think we’ve had a real purple patch just yet, hence the comment regarding luck. All teams need luck and you can’t get much luckier than finding your best form in the play offs.

In the 5 minutes Kirmond was on yesterday he gave us the full repertoire of his main stats. Great crash tackle, penalty after the tackle and leave the field injured. :)

Or your ability to not get spanked by St Helens twice like we have, which has had a huge effect on our PD. The nearest you have come, and could be wrong based on my quick look, is losing 30-18 to Wigan.

I’d also that being ravaged by injury hasn’t helped ours either. We would have probably walked the KR game last week if we hadn’t had 4 players walk off injured. Whereas your squad has kept in reasonably fit health.

I actually think using PD as a barometer as how close the two sides are has to be used with some context.

Fair point well made imo
