Game management was spot on last night, best of the season by a long way, like watching us play in Top 8`s last season. Delighted to see us playing with such control, looked like players all knew what they were trying to achieve. Playing out of our half with hard straight running, no risks in our half, no silly plays leading to errors, no miracle balls in our half, sensible kicking options - kicking for touch rather than just putting up another aimless high kick on the 6th. Much better shape in attack and played in the right areas
There were sets played out of defense where you could see that the whole team knew exactly what was happening, where they needed to be, who was taking the ball up, who was kicking on the 5th and where we were kicking to.
As a result we were low on errors, completed sets, had good field position, applied pressure.
Fabulous to see

Our game management does look much better in all departments.

The passing is quicker and I think crisper too.

Kicking game is improving too, and you could see how disappointed Miller was when he kicked the ball dead, giving Wigan a 7 tackle set

In the spirit of wanting to improve on a very good performance, there was one moment towards the end of the match when we got a kickable penalty & there was obviously some consideration whether to run it or kick it. The decision was to run it, but we clearly werent all in focus as we almost dropped a muddled pass on the very first play. Its something we have done on several occasions this season, where we havent looked like we had a plan.

Yes I agree, the best performance by far. Confident, expansive but not recklessly, controlled. Please bottle and dispense for every game!

Miller stepped forward tonight.

In some ways maybe Grix and Finn being absent is helping the rest.

I remember when Solomona left we looked like we lacked leadership but Rooney and Jeffries suddenly started making decisions and leading more than they had before.

Maybe this is what Miller needs for a short time along with Hampshire Randall and Wood.

I guess we'll see.

I'd agree that we seemed to have a better grip of that game for 70 of the 80 minutes; but I guess that's much easier to do when you're on top and the opposition are stinking the place out.

If we can continue in the same vein against a team who are less willing to capitulate - such as Warrington, who will disrupt your management of the game with offloads and off the cuff plays - then we're in with a chance of picking up the wins we need to secure our position.

I don't see it myself - Wire look like they have more than we can handle - but you never know in the current topsy-turvy world of SL.

I agree Wolves will be far harder. They have not been as fluent in attack as they'd like but their defense is one of the best I think in SL.
Wigan stood off us a bit which gave us time to be good. We don't do well against the rush blitz defenses. We need to be quicker on the ball against Warrington, but if we do it is within our capabilities to win imo.
