With top 8 looking pretty certain now it's time to offer this lad another year at least before someone else gets in first .

On one game, give over - are you his agent or dad?

Give it a few more and if he continues to improve the yes.

It is too early to say whether or not he is now our long term half back, but he has shown in games other than the last 2, what he is capable of.

I do agree though, that we should be looking at securing his services for longer before someone else does

Never understood Wigan not wanting to do everything in their power to keep Ryan, in age group Rugby Ryan and Williams were unstoppable, they should have been Wigans half backs for 10 years. Not knocking players but Powell whose attitude is great and Lululai who is past it are not a patch on Ryan, as a result Williams no longer looks like the player he threatened to be when he was first given his chance. Class is permanent, Ryan has it in spadefuls, he just needs the chance. For some reason whilst Wigan do give youth a chance they overlooked the gem them had in Ryan, Cas and Leigh did not play in in the correct position. We now have the chance to give Ryan the stage to reach his potential. Just play him every week in the halves and he will light up BV

I think Vastman is right, he's had a pretty shakey year and does need to prove that he can play consistent rugby.

I think it helps a HB playing behind such a beautifully balanced team. Last night you seemed to have the right mix - huge but skilfull props, pacey/powerful backrow, nippy/creative halfs, powerful centres, pace & power in the wings, pacey & deceptive FB. Even Matty Smith should be able to play with that mix.

I thought we looked really sharp in the halves last night with both Miller & Rocky having their best game together so far.
With Chester having said that nos 1-7 would stay for a number of weeks, this should give the halves some time to try and bring the best out of each other and the team.
If Hampshire & Miller can keep doing the business, then Hampshire will surely he will get an extension.
Both looked a threat all game last night, long may it continue :D

I hope both Ryan and Max get an extended run in the first time, lets see what they can do

Ryan hasn't had a bad game for us when he has played. No idea where any negativity regarding Hampshire comes from. He's been unspectacular but solid in some games but when I think to the Leeds, Wigan and Hull FC games he has been very good.
