Just been thinking about player sponsorship and how some players seemed to be simply sponsored by individuals rather than companies, is this done because they can't find a company for the player?

Has anyone from here ever been involved or have we (a board from a fans forum) thought about sponsoring a player?

The Northstanders facebook page used to do player sponsorship, Annakin if I remember correctly.

I'm not sure your assertion on individuals over companies is correct. I think it might be first come first served, whoever meets the asking price for said player first gets to sponsor them. Maureen Cummings has been sponsoring Reece Lyne for years, I'm not sure if she is on here but she is definitely on the Northstanders facebook page.

Yeah I remember The Northstanders sponsoring a player, I thought they had something to do with Tim Smith and Craig Hall. (That could just be my imagination)

Been talking to my "alter ego" (as Vastman would say) Homme Vaste and we've decide to sponsor a player on behalf on the forum, we will be registering under Trinity18.

If you are sponsoring a player on "behalf of the forum" shouldn't the sponsor be named as the forum rather than your good self?

I set up a sponsorship a few years ago and raised enough to sponsor two of the younger players. Dome of the members that have been on longer may remember.

Maybe I would involve the full forum and Homme Vaste is just being daft, trying to make me look like a troll. I'll quite happily attach the email that he sent me if anyone needs.

I sponsor a player as part of a group and also as an individual.
If you want to sponsor a player for next season, you need to contact Verity at the club to express your interest and also ask regarding thecost as it doesn't cost the same to sponsor each player
