Seems to be on the outer at Leigh, with Sheffield apparently looking at him. I have not seen that much of him but looks to be a good organiser with a good passing/kicking game. I think he would fit very nicely as halfback cover for us.

thoughts?

He has been good for Leigh, but is 30 and has played just about his whole career in the championship. We already have someone in the squad like that

If quicker than Finn, than maybe worth a punt.

Ideally, as first choice would prefer quicker halves. I am warming to the idea of Miller/Kelly, and then a third as back up.

Would it be worth a shout as a swap deal with Finn, as I don't think Finn and Ridyard in the same squad would help our progress

Ridyard is not better than Finn imho.
I'd rather stick with him, and get someone younger and faster when we find them

I was looking as a short term option for the rest of this season because I think we would be struggling badly should anything happen to either Finn or Miller.

Maybe if Finn got crocked but why would he join us for half a season as that's all I'd offer him - unless of course it's a loan deal.

Reading the story about Sheffield chasing him, and it seems he is OOC at the end of the season so it probably would be a loan deal til then. Iguess with him trying to secure himself a contract for next year somewhere.

I don't mind him as a player but I think some are forgetting where we are.
If we are to stay in the top 8 fight long term (or even stay in SL through the middle 8s) we need to have better quality than him.

I don't think he's coming to us, though I wouldn't complain if he did.
