Have to say the Northstand were the loudest I have heard them this season.
Surely it must have been a contributing factor to help cheer the lads to victory (even parts of the East stand joined in for the first time in years!)

The (sort of) segregation is a good thing, purely because of this.
As soon as away fans pile into the Northstand home advantage is pretty much lost.

Segregation must stay - for this reason alone.

I was not a fan of segregation but have to admit it helps give a boost when the Northstand is rocking with home fans and agree it must stay for that reason.

Carter said before the game there was no formal segregation. Were the stewards still sending people in the two directions again? I wasn't at that end of the ground this time.

Yes they were.

So more poor communication by the club.

A video appeared on Facebook last night of some very arrogant stewards harassing Wakefield fans for apparently no reason whatsoever.

The guy with the camera very cleverly got one of the stewards number on the film.

It's quite ridiculous that we have "segregation" one week and nothing the next.

I think the heat was getting to some of the stewards last night though, they were a little over zealous with some of the home fans and more likely to cause a problem than to solve one.

The guy with the camera is a very long term fan who has followed the club through thick and thin home and away if it lost fans like him the club would not be here that's for sure

Have the club been contacted regarding this?

It was a brilliant atmosphere especially I the second half. My boys came away from the ground buzzing. I think the combination of the heat, the nature of the performance and the win made it a special night that the modern stadia will never be able to replicate.

On arriving at the ground around 7.30 we were once again disappointed to see loads of away fans in the Northstand. When we go to opposition grounds we are directed towards a particular stand, and consequently go there. Why can't we enforce the same at BV ??
There have been several near-misses in recent games in the Northstand, and IMHO unless the club sort this out, I believe it is only a matter of time before it kicks off again, and we would potentially be looking at another fine from the RFL for failing to control our supporters (regardless of whether we started it or not !!)

I have to agree regarding the level of vocal support in there last night....not heard it that loud for ages (but that might be due to us not having competed for ages !!)
