"Sam has looked at the roster we now have, and if we can help him in any way to move on somewhere else then we will look at doing that.

He added: "We don't have to get Sam off the quota. I have never once said the player we are chasing is a quota player, that is a bit of a myth, so we don't have to let Sam go."

Strange, they arent chasing a new quota player he says so why would it suit Hull FC and Sam to leave..then again this is the man who said he three or four people in line for the coaching role then appointed the one everybody knew was getting it anyway..

Just sounds to me like they don't have to get rid but they would like to.

What's the big deal? There are existing players in front of him for a place so better for him if he leaves and better for Hull to save his salary.
But they are not trying to free a quota spot as they are chasing a non quota player as new signing.

What's wrong with that?

I hope we get him.....as long as he isn't the big half back signing.

Think its more to do with his chances in the first team are going to be limited and they'd like to free up some cap space to spend elsewhere on the squad. But if he's to come back here i'd prefer him to get his british passport sorted and come off quota so we can fit in two QUALITY overseas halfbacks and Tongia.

If he's going to come our way I hope we're clever enough to make Hull pay part of his wages, if they don't we should tell them to keep him and they can pay all his wages.

He did, but I don't blame him for it. He had a choice to stay or go, and he did what most people would've done when facing an uncertain future with their present employer.

You were in administration and they chose to sell him to bring in some much needed revenue to keep you lot afloat(all before glover agreed the takeover).Hull made the offer and the administrator snapped their hands off.As of now,he is well down the pecking order,in both the 7 and 9 role, and with hull looking to bring an aussie centre in,his quota place is needed.Sam did a great job this season for us,but we have recruited well,so his chances would be very limited.
