Post subject:  Wakey Vs Saints - Parking at Belle Vue

I know this is probably a bit of a numbskull question to ask at a time like this but can anyone tell me wheres best to park close to the ground on friday night. Im traveling by car from St Helens to watch the game Friday.

Most people park on sugar lane about 2 mins from the ground, get there early though so you can get a space.

depends what time you get here and iys a case of pot luck parking in the streets around Belle Vue, probably try Sugar lane or if you early enough try Denmark St if you can get a spot,

Don't park outside the flats that look over the Canal, it may be tempting but they will clamp you.


Look for sugar lane, first right as you go over the bridge.

Don't park on the street just past Evans Halshaw (Vauxhall Garage)on your left,You will get the wheel clamp brigade on to you.

If all else fails park on barnsley Road facing the city centre that way you can miss most of the traffic when you leave, if you are using Satnav then look for the Forresters on Barnsley Raod turn around there and you should be Ok for parking.

The Belle Isle Medical Centre on Portobello Road just off the Barnsley Road - nice big car park always plenty of parking there.

you can use sugar lane or barnsley road but leave enough room for me :)

Any idea of the post code for the sat nav mate. On Google maps it's just coming up as WF1, sorry to be a pain. I hope and think that it will be a superb atmosphere on Friday and a fine tribute to Leon. Let's show all other sports how true fans can behave and how we can show our respects with a well observed minutes silence.
