I know this has been talked about before but i really think it needs bringing up again.

Hendo has been immense in my opinion so far this year. Tackles anything that moves and is always willing to drive the ball up time after time. His work rate is unbelievable and its players like this who enable the 'flare' players to set the games up. He took some massive hits against Catalans on Sunday, hits that would have ended the game for other props within SL, You could clearly hear the impact from 30 yards awa but he just kept getting up, taking the ball and going again.

Keep it up Hendo as your performances so far have been top drawer !

Let's not get carried away here.....he is in fantastic form but got battered several times. He is playing as well as I can recall but he still has a long way to go to give himself even a chance of a renewed deal if we want to look to increase the quality of the squad next year.

Not getting carried away ?? Just giving a bloke who gives 110% everytime he wears the Wakefield shirt the credit he deserves for his recent performances !

But talking after the game, Sam's comment was that 'that's what he's there for' - and yes, he was being serious!

Don't get me wrong, it took bottle for him to keep coming back for more and deserves the credit - but getting dominated this much is not good. 2 things, only a matter of time before he gets hurt and renders himself useless (taking this much punishment) and secondly its not what you want when the forwards are trying to boss their opposite number. Its not uncommon to see a side (pack) lift after a big hit like those seen, so although lite hearted there is an importand point to note I feel.

Not sure who was more demoralised, Henderson getting straight back up after getting clobbered or Fakir who had to come off as a result of the tackle. He is the workhorse and has taken over from Golden, Ferres and MacGilvary. In some respects he has to play this way to get into the team.

I agree - he may to have to play this way to get into the team but its guys like Hendo that take the hits and the majority of the 'hard work' to allow the flare players to set things up. He makes the odd mistake, we all know that, but credit where its due - he is by far having the best stint in a Wakefield shirt since being at Belle Vue and does a hell of a lot of work which goes un noticed by most fans.

How long would he have to play like this for you to offer him a new contract?
