Nice, but for a game like this one, where there is going to be little travelling support, why not offer tickets for even less? How many more would we get on the gate with tickets at a £5?

£11 seems such an aribitary sum!

We have to try and retain income. For everyone that does not have a season ticket and usually pays on the gate we will be losing money as they would be willing to pay the 'normal' rate. The club has not only to attract a higher gate, but also be sure of at least maintaining income. A matter of weighing up the risks/revenue loss.

It's just good to see we're doing something.....it's games like this and against 'lower' (I know some see us as such) clubs where we can take a risk to get punters in.

Indeed it does, which would suggest that is not arbitary at all, but instead a calculated sum based on what return we require from the game.

We could get 5,000 at full price, and we could get 10,000 for nothing, but which one makes more money?

It would seem that there is genuinely no pleasing some folk!

No.1 is great to see them rewarding season ticket holders & No.2 It's good to see the club acknowledging games against Salford, Celtic, Catalan & Quins are the one's where we need to work the hardest to attract fans

It's a step in the right direction. Don't honestly think it will encourage too many to come but if a few turn then fair enough.

I will contact the club and ask for a discount on my season pass

Isnt the point of offering special deals not just to attract a big gate for that game and make a profit for that game? Although that is an added bonus i thought it was in the hope that the new fans the game attracts come back again and again.

So, if you are not a "loyal" season ticket holder, ( a term that i don't care for, but that's a whole different argument), and do not have a mate who is, do you pay full price or 11.00?
