The club have revealed that Richard has been diagnosed with Crohn's disease and could well miss the rest of the season.
Can I be first to wish Richard the very best in his battle to overcome this debilitating illness and hope that an appropriate course of treatment can be identified as soon as possible

"In fairness the Wildcats spluttered sporadically. When they were good they were very, very good and when they weren’t - they gave away penalties."

That's awful news for him. As they have diagnosed it then the doctors will take care of him.

We seem cursed at the moment, yet more sad news. All the best Richard and I hope it works out and you overcome what is an unpleasant illness.

Poor sod, hope he gets well soon, I'm sure the club will give him all the support he needs.

Bad news for the club, but good news for Richard in as much as they'll now be able to treat him properly.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and a huge season next year!
P.S. let's hope our rumoured signing gets here soon!

Very sad news for Richard indeed.
I presume this will speeden up the need for Wakey to acquire another prop as i would be extremely surprised to see him play again this season.
Im no expert on the disease, but i understand that just getting the medication levels and diet sorted can take months of trial and error.
