Well you're at odds with most coaches, not least Alex Ferguson, who clearly states in his Autobiograpy that luck played a huge role in his success.

There is no such thing as luck. There is no mythical power making Gale miss a kick.
It is simply the culmination of a lot of events that arrive at a conclusion you like.
I'm sure Alex Ferguson knows that too.....which is why he works so hard on details others don't to be successful.

I was a bit concerned after the first 15 minutes having had so much possession with nothing on the scoreboard. Only because I have witnessed it so many times before. All credit to the team for hanging in there though, great to see.

Even for you that's bizarre. Of course there is such a thing as luck, it's just another word for chance or good fortune or are you saying they don't exist?

What doesn't exist is ways to create luck such as lucky omens and superstitions, I'll give you that, but luck as a concept is totally real. If luck doesn't exist please explain lottery winners. It may be random chance but you're still chuffin lucky :roll:

It's not bizarre just because you don't understand.

You've answered your own point.
You can feel lucky but it isn't something that happens.

You can feel lucky that you roll 2 sixes at dice games but in reality it was always going to be 2 sixes, you just didn't know. Its because of the way you picked them up and the force you put on them in the throw and the way you turned your hand. Not caused by luck.

Luck is just a way of describing something that is beneficial to you that you didn't know was going to happen....but was going to happen regardless.

Excellent results last two weeks, over the two matches how many minutes were we actually in front, shows a real fighting spirit and that is just what is needed when in a relegation battle. Seen comments regarding looking up, 6 point buffer etc etc this to me is silly talk, the battle is on and the quality of teams in that battle is challenging. Toulouse have 5 or six home matches when visiting players have to get used very quickly to 30 degree heat. Toulouse are playing well, they are no easy beats. Think they also have Saints last match of season, Saints will have the League wrapped up and will play a B team gifting Toulouse the points. We have Saints second last match when they will play full strength and then Hudds who will be looking to secure second place. Leeds & Warrington have a star studied team who must get them enough wins. Salford have a great squad. Willie needs to keep the squad focused , I am thinking that maybe 16 points might be enough, 18 will surely keep us up . Can we find four more wins, its a tough tough league and its not going to be Easy. Salford away and the Toulouse match are crucial.

What foresight you possess, all that and you don't know if we can find 4 more wins.

Well done though for stating the obvious.

Hmm. That's problematic.
I hope we have a reserve fixture next week to handle it.

[quote="Dunkirk Spirit"]

Are you suggesting that 4g is no more damaging to the skin than grass? I suggest you go Klinnsman slide on a grassy field when you finish work today and then take yourself to your local 4G pitch and do the same. I get that you can get nasty cuts or grazes on grass but i'd say that it's far less consistent than when playing on 4G.

If people want to ignore that it would be a factor then that's fine but if I had similar offers from clubs and I had the choice of playing 14-15 rugby league games a season on grass and 14-15 on 4G I know which i'd choose. I get the need for it financially but practically 4G pitches are not on the level of normal grass for suitability imo.
