They were dreadful against arguably the worst side in the league at the moment.

We have just watched the Kr -v- Shudds match and once again Russell was virtually invisible (tbf you could probably say that for the whole Shudds team ??)
He kicked it dead once, ran out of the line and missed a crucial tackle on Tyrone May which led directly to a try and generally failed to impress one little bit...why do we want this guy ??

May be the coaching staff see more in him. However, like yourself so far I have seen nothing that excites me about him. Further to that, I hope we have another half targeted , because a first choice pairing of Russel and Lino next season worries me

I think Russell tried hard enough without really achieving very much whilst playing in a team that have clearly lost their way.I do rate him and he's got a great passing game.I agree though that we need a marquee standard half back also.
Where that would leave Mason Lino if it happened I don't know.Lino divides opinion, and although he can win MOTM in some games he can be very poor in others,IMO.
Another player who we are strongly linked with and who gives me more cause for concern is Matty Storton.I have watched nearly all the KR matches and he usually comes off the Bench, for what seems quite short periods, and doesn't get that much involved, from what I can see.He will of course get my full backing if he's signed up,as does any player.

Though I’ve only watched a few KR games Storton is a player I thought showed up well and one who I’m looking forward to seeing if he’s announced.

Scott is having a pretty decent game today for Hull too in the second row. If he’s coming we might have a decent right second row there.

As for Russell I can’t say much different to others here. Not seen very much the little I’ve seen him play but I’ll trust the club if he’s signed. If there’s any option to look at a Marquee halfback though then it’s one position that could make a big difference.

Agree on Storton, he gets so little game time it's hard to judge him.
