There’s an inevitability to TJ leaving at some stage I think with the injuries having already cost him two years if a big offer comes in From NRL then he’ll want to go and rightly so.

He should leave with our beat wishes and a hero. His game will go to another level over there and they are no doubt better placed to look after him physically.

You all seem to be trying to push the lad to the other side of the world. Wouldn't it be better to try and encourage the rest of the team to aspire to the level of Tom, than encourage him to leave? The greatest asset Trinity have had in years. It would break my heart to see him turn out in a Leeds shirt. I would rather see him join Wigan. Let's try to turn Trinity into a side that Tom would be proud to be a part of. I agree £200,000 would be a welcome windfall, But didn't Mr Carter state when he took control that, " WE WERE NO LONGER A SELLING TEAM"?

As his contract runs down so does price of the transfer fee. Usually that is.

I think Tom is outstanding and has an unbelievable try average. But if we can get a decent fee and he wants the chance think for both Tom and the club it’s probably the right thing.

One more serious injury and another year passing three will be no fee and no big money for Tom.

Being totally selfish, I hope Tom stays at Wakefield and sees out his career here.

I agree with an earlier comment that if he does go we should have a first option clause if he returns to SL as we'll get back an even better version because the NRL will stiffen up his defence and game reading to add to his world class finishing.

I think any fee should be close to the £400k Wigan paid for Offiah in the 90s regardless of his past injuries but doubt it will be

If we insert a first option clause then it would only be possible whilst he is still under contract. So we would have to pay a transfer fee to get him back. Doubt somehow we’ll be affording that.

That's they way I see it, can't deny I'd love to see just how good he could be playing in that environment playing against the best week in week out.
